In October 2011, Solahart commissioned Newspoll to conduct an online nation-wide survey of 18-64 year olds to determine what Australians are willing to do over summer to reduce their energy bills and find out more about consumer perceptions of the future of energy prices. The survey showed Australians are clearly feeling the pressure in terms of power prices and will take action to manage their bills over the warmer months. From simply turning off appliances at the switch to using candles as an alternative light source, Aussies indicated they are willing to change their ways in order to mitigate soaring power prices.
