Renewable Energy Certificates (REC/STCs)
For all installations from 1st January 2011 onwards, RECs changed to STCs under the new Small-Scale Renewable Energy Scheme.
Every Solahart hot water heater qualifies for RECs (now known as STC's). These are incentives designed to encourage the displacement of energy produced by non-renewable sources. The financial benefit of REC/STCs varies depending on the Solahart model and your climate zone but is worth around $800 on our most popular models.

The owner of the solar hot water heater can assign the right to create REC/STCs to Solahart and Solahart will reimburse the owner for the value of the REC/STCs.
Federal Government Solar Rebate
The Federal Government offers a $1,000 rebate ($600 for heat pump) to assist households to replace their electric storage water heater with a solar hot water heater. Click here for more details
