With energy bills on the rise for the average Australian household, Solahart’s on hand to help you make savings by converting from traditional gas or electric water heaters to alternative energy such as solar powered hot water heaters.
Since 1953 Solahart has manufactured and installed solar power systems and solar hot water heaters with electric or gas boosters. In 60 years we have installed more than 1 million units across 70 countries, helping both homeowners and businesses to harness the sun’s free energy, reducing costs and carbon footprints in the process.
Australians count themselves fortunate to live in a largely sun-soaked country. As a result solar power is often an excellent and cost-effective path to instant hot water. Depending on the layout of your home, your local Solahart Expert may recommend a thermosiphon or streamline split system.
For flexibility, a streamline split solar solution with gas or electric booster offers instant hot water. The solution includes solar collectors that are mounted to the roof facing the equator. At ground level position a storage tank is fitted either indoors or outdoors. To help circulate the water, an electric pump is employed.
A thermosiphon roof-mounted system is preferable for homes with limited ground space. Heat-absorbing coated panels are fitted to the north-facing roof. The fluid within heats, rises to the top, and transfers to the adjacent water tank. The space within the collectors then refills with cooler liquid, and the process starts again.
Solahart’s global longevity is due, in part, to our unwavering commitment to quality and advancements in technology. With each generation of products we have an eye towards improvements.
